In December 2020, James alongside his partners acquired 'Langan's Brasserie.’ An iconic Mayfair institution launched in 1976 and owned by Michael Caine- Langan’s Brasserie burst onto the London restaurant scene attracting guests from Elizabeth Taylor and Elton John, to Princess Margaret, Mick Jägger and Mohammed Ali. 

 

Following an £8m refurbishment with the addition of a new private members club, the new Langans relaunched the following year to critical acclaim, winning several design awards and being included in the Michelin guide. 

 

Upon the success of Langans, James took on the role of Group Managing Director of an additional hospitality and leisure portfolio comprising 8 central London locations and over 300 employees. The portfolio includes the following brands, Langan’s, Chucs Restaurants, KX private members gym, and KXU.
