JAMES HITCHEN

James Hitchen is a respected hospitality entrepreneur with over 16 years experience as an owner, operator and developer of multiple premium hospitality and leisure venues. 

 

London based, James has created, owned or operated some of the most lauded and innovative nightclubs, restaurants and private members gym brands in the UK including Langan’s, The Chelsea Pig, Chucs Restaurants, KX, KXU, Neighbourhood and Victors.

 

As a business founder and experienced CEO, James has a proven record of creating, operating and growing successful hospitality and leisure brands.

 

In 2011, James formed East Coast Concepts, a hospitality group built on the vibrancy, passion and guest focus he had witnessed in the US hospitality scene throughout the major cities of NYC, Miami, LA and Las Vegas- launching successful brands ‘Neighbourhood’ and ‘Victors’ growing the business from an owner-operated, one-venue business into a PE-backed 6-venue group with sales of £18m and a team of over 360 employees. 

 

James’ next goal was to make his mark on the hospitality scene in London. Within 18 months, under 2 newly formed partnerships he had acquired and relaunched 2 iconic businesses, Langan’s Brasserie in Mayfair and The Chelsea Pig in Chelsea. Shortly after, James took on the day-to-day operations of an additional hospitality and leisure portfolio comprising 8 central London locations and over 300 employees. The portfolio includes the following brands, Langan’s, Chucs Restaurants, KX private members gym, and KXU. 

 

James is currently focussing on a number of new projects that are slated to open in London in late 2024.
